King of the world

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

I was wondering whether you'd like to see a new feature in the magazine, which is an idea that has sprung up from the last readers' challenge. We have had so many entries that used the kingfisher photo, that I got to thinking whether it would be nice to show how different artists have interpreted the same photo. Maybe with a little breakdown of what they did and how it was done? If it's something you find useful we can make a regular thing of it.
And talking of readers' challenges, specifically the challenge with the kingfisher, I'm afraid I made a mix-up with the dates, which meant a lot of entries came in after a winner was announced. I've decided to have two winners for that challenge and apologise for my terrible calendar skills. I'll put a full post on the forum later today to explain things. Have a good rest of the weekend!

Easter holidays

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Ah, the chicks are chirping, the lambs are bounding and there are lots of lovely Easter eggs to be eaten! As the Easter holidays approach, I thought it worth pointing out that we won’t be in the office from the end of tomorrow (the 20th) until next Tuesday (the 25th). This will mean that any images you upload may not be approved until the Tuesday, so don’t worry if it takes longer than usual for them to appear.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter holiday and see you next week
